Color Management in Graphic Applications Software - Session 3: Color Management in QuarkXPress

Recorded January 31, 1:00 pm Eastern

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW - Color Management in Graphic Applications Software
Color Management (CM) is often a confusing and intricate topic. It's important for designers and prepress personnel who use the Adobe Suite, Quark and Acrobat applications to understand the nuances of each software system. This unique webinar curriculum discusses CM in the context of these applications to assure customers and clients receive accurate and consistent color for their output files and print.

This Program
In this third webinar of the 4-part "Color Management in Graphic Applications Software" curriculum, we'll explore the potentially complex world of color management in the widest used and most popular page layout application of QuarkXPress.

Color management truly can NOT be disabled, even in QuarkXPress. It pays to learn about the "behavior" of this application even if we don't intend to use its more grandiose color management capabilities (for example: a full RGB layout being converted on-the-fly to CMYK at print time).

What are the pros and cons of this stalwart page layout application in the color management arena? How can we just get QuarkXPress to show us something accurately on-screen without fully enabling CMYK conversions at print time that might, in turn, mess things up down the line?
